Home Instead is the world's leading provider of non-medical companionship based care in the community and has over 160+ offices nationwide. The Welwyn & Hatfield office is now looking to recruit additional people to join our fabulous team of CAREGiver's who look after our older client's in their own homes within their community.
We are looking to recruit a number of CAREGiver's to enable us to grow and face the challenges that we will no doubt find in the future. We are facing those challenges with confidence because we know that our CAREGivers are highly trained, exceptionally skilled, and really do pour their heart and soul into the caring of our elderly clients.
We look after people who reside in the following locations : Borehamwood, Brookmans Park, Hatfield, Potters Bar, Welham Green, Welwyn and Welwyn Garden City and villages, and are looking to recruit part-time staff who can travel within these area's.
It is essential that you have your own 'car', this is because we work in the community and travel between people's homes, and are not just travelling to one destination daily – This is non-negotiable.

We are often asked about the role of CAREGiver and what it involves?
The job content varies with each individual we support but generally involves a mixture of:
Personal Care – Washing and Dressing, continence and catheter care, assisting clients with all toilet needs, ensuring they are clean, comfortable and healthy.
Home Help – We provide light housework duties, dusting and hoovering, meal preparation, throwing away out of date food, putting rubbish out on bin day.
Companionship Care – Taking the client shopping or for a coffee, having a walk or a visit to the garden centre, ferrying the client to an appointment or social event, or simply sharing a nice cup of tea and a good chinwag.

We are not seeking specific academic qualifications, we undertake to fully train all CAREGiver's recruited by a mixture of e-learning and Workshops, but we do require all CAREGiver's to have the following:
It is ESSENTIAL that all CAREGiver's have their own car – We work in the Community and need to travel between clients daily, taking them to appointments, shopping and social events.
We also require all CAREGiver's to have clear and concise verbal communication skills because clients may have hearing loss or dementia and need to be able to easily understand the CAREGivers instructions.
All of our positions are part-time and we like our CAREGivers to have flexible working patterns that will require some evenings and shifts on a Saturday and Sunday on alternate week-ends. Tell us what you would like to do and we will try to work with you where we can.
All positions are subject to four references and successful DBS clearance.
All positions require the CAREGiver to have their own transport.
You will be expected to work in multiple locations on a daily basis.
